Organic and earthy brown vase

This is a beautiful handmade ceramic vase, which I made on a pottery wheel in my backyard in Geelong, Australia. The glaze is handcrafted by me too.

I make things out of clay as a way to switch off my brain and calm down a bit. I hope that you find arranging flowers in this lovely vase will give you a moment of calm too.

This vase is a beautiful earthy neutral, but is also a contemporary style with a modern neutral aesthetic. Would we say boho rustic? I’m not great with terminology, but let’s say yes at a guess.

It’s made from a warm brown clay and has splashes of a bobbly white glaze on the exterior that for some reason feels uniquely Australian to me. Other parts of the exterior are left unglazed so that you can enjoy the loveliness of this beautiful clay. The gorgeous bits of toastiness around the edges of the glaze are particularly nice. The interior is glazed in a clear glaze.

The making process means this piece is truly unique – you’ll be the only person who owns this vase.

This vase is made with care, and is designed to last for generations to come. It would make a lovely gift for a special occasion, or a special treat for yourself (and I’m all up for treating yourself).
